The craft fair in Chipping Norton went rather well yesterday, considering it was my first and I was unsure what to expect!

There wasn't a huge amount of footfall, but those that came in were genuinely interested and ready to part with money for something handmade and original.

I sold several of my pocket watch brooches to a lovely lady who was giving them as gifts that day for dinner guests, and she bought one of my Julie Arkell inspired little people (she recognised the idea from Mollie Makes mag!!)

and......I've said a fond farewell to the fabric bead necklace featured in my etsy shop..........I took many new makes with me so those which did not sell yesterday will be available in the shop in the next couple of days.

Met some lovely like minded crafty people and had a fun day. My sister came with me to help set up and we had such a giggle - she was a huge help, thank you x

I am organising myself (and my stock) for a local craft fair at the end of the month. I'm so pleased I hung on to these old suitcases which belonged to my great Aunt. They are perfect for displaying and storing everything. I have a couple of them, so will be working on the final display over the next few weeks..........

Daisy busily embroidering some hearts..........the concentration on her face was a picture I had to capture!

Yeah!! Finished my little "people" some time ago, but just got around to photographing to show you!

Daisy was busy over the weekend making french knitted necklaces and plaited friendship bracelets ready to take to school this morning - each one had to be in the right colour for the right friend and individually wrapped with a name label!
She also made a cute little papier mache bee....he is SOooo sweet....

Buzzy little Bee!
The process I go through to make one of my papier mache Julie Arkell inspired creatures.........begins as something rather messy and unrecognisable and finishes up as what I think, is quite a cute "small person"!
Scrunch and shape....

some sticks for stability........

sticky sloppy wallpaper paste and heaps of layers........

almost there.....!

Ready to dress - a coat of varnish and some clothes!
